Zemiroth Shabbat This page describes Zemiroth for normal Shabbat, including Shabbat Rosh Chodesh, Rosh Chodesh Chanuka and Medianos (Chol Hamoed). Chazzan is
standing on the Teba with tallit, tsibur (congregation) is sitting.
The Chazzan can sit if he desires to do so, and indeed, I remember some
Chazzanim sitting. From נשמת (page 123), he is standing. In general, the chazzan recites aloud only the first sentence of each mizmor. The last sentence is sung by the community, and then the by the chazzan. Some sentences in the middle of a mizmor are recited aloud. All are standing during Kaddish. Recordings
