Mussaf for Rosh Hashanah

With Tallit.

All are standing during Kaddish.
During Rosh Hashanah, Avelim (mourners) do not say Kaddish.

During Mussaf, two men stand next to the Chazzan, called סמוכים (Semuchim). The Kohen or the oldest Samuch stands to the right of the Chazzan, the other Samuch stands to his left.

Shofar is not blown on Shabbat, but היום הרת עולם is recited (not sung) on Shabbat.
During Mussaf the שברים-תרועה tone is blown as two separate tones, with a short break in between.
During Mussaf, the Shofar is left on the left side of the Tebah. The Tokea remains on the Tebah during Mussaf. For the blowing he goes from the bench to the left corner.

Greyed texts are skipped on Shabbat.

Recordings: NN tape 26 till minute 25:50. As the recording starts half way “Zichronot” it seems that tape 25b is missing. AAV (see his annotations, page 21) SRP, SB & JBS complemented this. Still, some parts were taken from other tapes.

Before WW2, if not on Shabbat, 30 extra tones were blown after Mussaf outside the Snoge for those who were interested. After the war, haham Pereira (SRP) deiced to blow them inside the Snoge for all.

3* ת”שרת
3*ת”שת
3* ת”רת

(*) There is no blowing on Shabbat.
(**) taken from Yom Tob, the end for RH is different
(***)
SB uses the melody of Mussaf Kippur. AAV writes explicitly that this is incorrect, see  notes AAV page 21.
(****) There is no recording of this reciting. The recording is based on “logic” and the end part of
מלכויות, which ends in the “normal melody”
Some recordings by Chaham S. Rodrigues Pereira (SRP) can be found on CD3-TR5 minute 8’49

Some parts of the service have been recorded by SRP

[1] NN brings Duchan on the recording (tape 25 minute 16’34), but this is incorrect, see also notes AAV page 21. Also my cousin Mr. D Cohen Paraira confirmed this.

[2] During Rosh Hashanah, Avelim (mourners) do not say Kaddish.
