Musaf Rechalim & Shabbat Medianos

This page describes the Musaf service for Pesach (fist and last days), Shavuot and Sukkot (first days, Shemini Atzeret & Simchat Tora) and Shabbat Medianos (Chol hamoed).

All are standing during Kaddish, Avelim do not say kadish on Yom Tov and Medianos.

On the first two days of Sukkot we hold the Lulav from the start of Musaph and keep it till the end of the hosha'anot.

Sukkot: 1^st & 2^nd day and Shabbat Medianos
1^st and 2^nd day of Sukkot & Shabbat Medianos After the Bircat Cohanim the appointed Lavador, carrier, takes out the Sefer and goes to the Tebah. The Acompanador, giong in front, must assure they reach the Tebah before the Chazzan finishes ועל כל ישראל, אמן The Chazzan takes place in the left corner of the Tebah and starts הושענה On Shabbat the Hechal is opened, but the sefer is not taken out. The Chazzan stands in the lmiddle of the Tebah, as usual.		הושענות
The hakafot order is: Chazzan first, followed by the Haham or Dayan, the Parnassim & congregants with Lulav (Cohanim first). The Chazzan starts walking after saying לא יתמו שנותיו לדור דורים, הושענה הושענה and plans to say the words המנחילנו תורה אחת when arriving at the gate of the Hechal. When back on the Tebah continues הושענה הושענה. 2^nd day at the Hechal he starts המאזין ומעיד בנו עדים שנים	74-76	הושענות ליום ראשון
	84-86	הושענות ליום שני
	125-127	הושענות לשבת On Shabbat no Lulav, no Sefer Hoshanot and no Hakafot.
The Sefer Hoshanot is brought back to the Hechal. The procession returns to the Hechal in teh following order: Acompanhador, Levador, Chazzan, Parnas. At the gate before the Hechal the Chazzan lets the Parnas enter first. At arrival, the Sefer is placed in the Hechal.	76	ככתוב ... השיבנו

Chazzan. 1^st and 2^nd day Sukkot if on weekdays, the kadish is said next to the Hechal followed by Mi Sheberach for the man carrying the Sefer Hoshanot after which the Hechal is close and Chazzan returns to the Tebah	9	קדיש תתקבל

[1] From yihyu leratson chazzan reads silently. The Congregation says the Amen slowly, to finish when the Chazzan starts the Kaddish (or Hoshanot)
