Auto Da Fé
On particular occasions, a special Hashcava (memorial-prayer) is recited in the memory of our ancestors who died at the Auto Da fé (burning at the stake) at the hands of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisitions. Each time this “El Nekamot” prayer is said the name of one of the holy martyrs is mentioned as a representative of the many victims.
This page describes the part of the service following Kadish Titkabal of Shachrit (Tefillot, page 136).
Shabbat Chol haMo’ed Pesach (“Shabbat Medianos [1] de Pesach”), or on the 7th day of Pesach if there is no Shabbat Chol haMo’ed.
