Limud for ShavuotThe Limud for the first evening of Shavuot is based on סדר קריאה ותיקון ללילי חג שבועות והושענא רבא by Abraham Maduro, printed in Amsterdam in 1767. Mind that the general structure is not used. The structure used is: first three and last three versus of each Parashah of the Torah, followed by the first three and last three versus of each book in Nevi’im and Ketuvim. Today we do read only a selection, see Hoshana Rabbah.
Nevi’im during Limud are read with a special melody: example, list of Neginot with basic musical notation by BC. |
