Shacharit and Musaf for Weekdays

This page describes Shacharit for normal weekdays, including Musaf for Rosh Chodesh and (Rosh Chodesh) Chanukkah. It can also be used at the house of an Avel (mourner), see ומחה דמעה prayer book on page 96.

The Chazzan is standing on the Teba.
All are standing during Kaddish.
The Mizvot (ה’ מלך, קדיש דרבנן, Levador, Acompanhador and Levantador) are done by those appointed on Shabbat morning.

On Rosh Chodesh Chanukkah, additions for both days are said. On Rosh Chodesh Chanukkah, additions for both days are said, in the order “תדיר קודם”, the most frequent first. The same rule applies in the house of a Chatan on these days.
Kaddish is always on page 4-5.

The levantador opens the Sefer, , the Congregation exclaims “Torat Moshe Emet”. When the levantador turns to the left, towards the president, those facing the script say ‘Vezot …’. Then he turns three more times. Finally he faces the hehal and all the worshippers say “Ha’El …” while the Sefer is lowered back onto the reader’s desk. A subinte (congregant called to the Torah) is summoned by the Chazzan. He takes the nearest stairs on his way up the Tebah, and the other stairs when he goes down after the reading. On the stairs he says יי עמכם, the congregants answer יברכך יי. We say this באדנו”ת , not השם. This is based on Ruth 2:4. If he was already on the Tebah this is not said.		יעמוד
After the Berachah and before the reading, the congregant turns clockwise and bows towards the one who was previously called and who is now standing behind him.	71	ברכות לעולה
The Chazzan reads the Parashah and says the blessings: מי שברך. If needed, Hashcava can be made. הגומל (page 209) if needed. It can also be said separately either before the Parashah or after the service. Then the person, man or woman, who says the Hagomel, opens the Heichal. It requires Minyan. A Mi Sheberach always follows Hagomel. On Rosh Chodesh Chanukkah two Sefarim are used. When changing the Sefarim, the verses אלקים צבקות (page 136) are recited.
